Kathy has over twenty-five years of administrative and clinical emergency nursing experience. She has worked in multiple emergency services roles to include E.D. staff nurse, flight nurse, emergency services marketing liaison, and Director of Emergency Nursing Services at an urban Level I Trauma and Quaternary Referral Hospital in St. Louis. As such, her background provides expertise in protocol development and implementation, regulatory compliance issues, operational procedures, chart reviews, start-up projects, training and field reviews. In her most recent role, leading this and a former physician staffing company, she retains experience in business development, corporate compliance, personnel management, project oversight and strategic planning. Kathy serves on an array of emergency services committees in the Missouri/Illinois bi-state area. She also actively participates in civic events, offering emergency services consultative assistance.

Barbara Ellzey, M.D., FACEP, FACP

Dr. Ellzey is residency trained in Internal Medicine and is double boarded in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine. She has significant clinical expertise and management experience in emergency services. Prior to her tenure with HLES, she served as the Chief of the Department of Emergency Medicine at a large urban hospital in St. Louis. Dr. Ellzey serves on a variety of civic and emergency services related committees and Boards in our community. She is active in local, state and national levels of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Ellzey oversees all aspects of the physician's clinical practice. She is instrumental in ensuring that established standards of the American College of Emergency Physicians are followed. She reviews the Monthly Medical Director's Reports and participates in our risk management activities. She maintains ongoing collaboration with our local medical directors and staff doctors.

Nelson Arzola Physician Services 314.487.4537 Ext 104 email Nelson Nelson is responsible for all of the scheduling at our full and part time contracts. He has extensive scheduling experience and a wonderful communicative relationship with our physicians.

Maria Garcia Recruitment 314.487.4537 Ext 105 email Maria Maria comes to us with strong networking, human resources and sales experience as well as a background in communications. She directs our recruitment and retention efforts for all of our contracted facilities and works with our Locum Tenens clients in securing coverage for their shifts. Maria’s enthusiasm for her work is evident in her conversations with our staff, as well as in her exchanges with our customers

Bill Evans Operations 314.487.4537 Ext 109 email Bill Bill Evans brings health care recruiting experience to our company, as well as thoroughness in his solicitation of prospective physicians. With two degrees in communications, he focuses on developing solid interpersonal relationships as his top priority in recruitment and retention. His distinct sense of humor helps to keep the never ending challenges in our search for doctors in proper perspective.
